Paga: Robbery Incidence Leaves One Dead, Others Injured

In what could be described as a Hollywood Scene, two armed men on Wednesday attacked a mobile money agent  at Paga in the Upper East Region robbing him of 5,000 Ghana Cedis and killing one person in the process.

The gun-wielding men who were on a motorcycle arrived at the booth of the agent around six in the evening and ordered him to surrender all his possession together with two other persons who at the time had come to do some transactions.

Caught up in fear, the agent David Kwoviam heeded to their orders and handed over a bag containing all his money. The two other clients who were terrified by the action of the robbers and attempted running away with their monies were shot and injured by the indiscriminate gun shots.

One was shot in the head and the other on the shoulder. Unfortunately, the one shot in the head was pronounced dead shortly on arrival whilst the other is responding to treatment at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital. The incident is being investigated by the Paga District Police.
